Nowadays some big companies have started to research for new methods on how to make fuel from algae in order to develop low-carbon technologies. This project will come true by 2020. They plan to spend 26 million pounds on developing the method of making algae as a low-carbon fuel to be used by UK drivers. The UK government is trying to reduce overall emissions by 80% by 2050 by finding a renewable fuel that may reduce the emissions from factories and transportation. One of the advantages of algae is that they don’t take any agricultural areas and they are renewable by themselves where it will save a lot of money. This project has already attracted several companies to be involved in making fuel from algae where it will remove CO2 from the air. The Trust company has already raised $100 million to improve the ideas of making algae as a fuel.
